Affekt Unit is the collaboration by Philoxenia Records founders Luigi Di Venere and Neu Verboten, charged by the mission to spark new feelings on the dancefloor. Discorgy celebrates their musical obsessions, which are rooted in Italo house, Frankfurt EBM-house and trance. The result is an electrifying crossover of these classic genres, spliced with surprising new sounds born of the moment.
In A1 Oct-Opus, progressive trance intermingles with UK bass, techno and transcendental rave sounds to produce an immersive cinematic experience, like wandering through a film noir in cyberspace. The B side plays with piano house. The title track Discorgy draws from Euro dance and EBM, experimenting with a polyrhythmic bass line. The closing track Dreams Of Wrestlers is cosmic house at its sweetest and beefiest.
